The hotel was a decent base for enjoying a downtown area, near to the bus station as well as center of Shimoda. The best thing was how nice the staff where.

Exceptionally comfortable hotel, the rooms were outstanding. The personnel were pretty friendly and affable. The location was stunning and favourable - very close to a convenience store, the beautiful beach, and the shop. It also was situated on the highway north of Shimoda town centre.

I enjoyed beautifully maintained room here.

It had particularly good location near the gift shop. Also, it was 10 minutes drive to Ogasaki Wing Lookouts.

had comfortable stay for a family surfing holiday with outstandingly accommodating staff and favourable location situated on the highway north of shimoda town centre. there was lots of excellent meals. location: the hotel was close enough to the next beach, many good japanese seafood restaurants and the bus station. i thoroughly enjoyed this, haven't been in a better property.

The room is well-maintained and well priced and includes a big bathroom. Helpful people are working there. The hotel provides a great service. Also, they offer parking onsite.

I would definitely recommend the place. Also, location was stunning, relatively near Aloe no Sato. The room was a nice size and with a great view of the ocean. Everywhere there was fairly clean, the stuff where very very helpful people at every service.

Location: the hotel was close enough to the loveliest beach, restaurant and the center. The room we booked was good sized and well-maintained with refrigerator, a great view and a sofa bed.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at this hotel. Despite its age, the hotel offers reasonable prices and attention to detail. The location right on the beach provides stunning views of the ocean, especially from rooms with a large window that can be opened. The staff was friendly and provided basic amenities that met my needs. Additionally, the breakfast served was delicious and satisfying.

All in all, I had a satisfying stay at this hotel and found no major areas for improvement.

Stayed for 3 nights and was impressed by this wellness hotel. The room was well-maintained and large with an electric kettle and a refrigerator.

First of all, the location of this hotel is simply unbeatable. Situated right on the beach, it offers breathtaking views of the ocean from its rooms. The large windows can be opened, allowing you to feel the sea breeze and truly immerse yourself in the surroundings. The added bonus of having a room with a terrace is wonderful, giving you the opportunity to step outside and enjoy the fresh air.

I had a wonderful stay at Shimoda Prince Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The ocean view from the room was absolutely breathtaking. I also enjoyed having access to a private beach, it was a great place to relax and soak up the sun. The onsen in the hotel was a treat, providing a relaxing experience before going to sleep. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this hotel.

I do wish that the hotel's free shuttle ran more often or on demand, as it would have been convenient for exploring Shimoda. Additionally, some of the hotel staff struggled with English, but they were kind and accommodating regardless.

Absolutely loved my weekend stay at this beachfront property. the location was exceptional, with direct access to a private beach that offered stunning views and plenty of opportunities to sunbathe. the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making our experience even more enjoyable. the hotel also provided us with a shuttle service to nearby attractions, which was a real bonus.

Although the location and service were excellent, the property could use a facelift. the rooms were a bit dated, and the décor in some parts of the hotel needed refreshing.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel by the beach. The value for money was excellent - I couldn't believe how affordable it was considering the amazing sea view from my room. The attention to detail was evident, from the clean and comfortable rooms with the large windows that could be opened, to the terrace where I could sit and enjoy the sunshine and ocean view. The breakfast options were also great, offering a variety of delicious choices to start the day.
